Praxis works in three modes.
Bearing finds direction. Vector clarifies the path. Velocity creates movement.
A focused diagnostic
Choose Bearing when something needs to change but you can't yet pin down the problem, or people disagree about what's causing it.
We'll speak to the people involved, follow the relevant decisions and examine the information they rely on. We then identify the problem, the risks and a sensible next move.
- You bring
- Access to the people involved, examples of what's going wrong and the constraints we need to understand.
- You receive
- A written problem definition, a risk map and a recommendation for what to address next.
A research engagement
Choose Vector when you face a consequential decision: buying a platform, building a tool or changing how a growing team runs part of the business.
We'll investigate the options, test the assumptions behind them and compare their costs and compromises. We may recommend buying, adapting, building or waiting.
- You bring
- The decision you need to make, any options already under consideration, your constraints and access to the people who will live with the choice.
- You receive
- Tested options, the evidence behind them and a practical recommendation you can use to make the decision.
A first useful version
Choose Velocity when you have enough direction to put a change into practice and want someone alongside you to make it happen.
We'll create, test or improve a workflow, tool, report or delivery plan. We put the first version in front of the people who'll use it, then use their feedback to decide what needs changing.
- You bring
- A person who can make decisions, access to the relevant systems or information, and time for the team to try the changes.
- You receive
- A first useful version, a handover and agreed next steps. We agree the scope and timing for each project.
You don't need a finished brief.
Tell Gerard what's happening and what you need to decide or change. We'll work out which mode fits.
Before starting, we'll agree the purpose, scope, timing, cost and what you should have at the end. We'll also agree who needs to take part and when we'll review progress.
